The Azienda Vitivinicola Sobrero was established in 1940 by Francesco Sobrero, father of the current owners, Settimo and Pierfranco.

It is located in Castiglione Falletto, heart of the Barolo area. It was on these hills, which have for many years been a choice zone for vine-growing, where Francesco dedicated a life of work, passion and sacrifice to his vineyards, producing the prestigious wines that can only be obtained from this land.

As a testimony to his hard work, Francesco Sobrero has left behind, among other things, the tools for working in the cellar which his sons still use today, continuing to produce wine in a zone covering 16 hectares of vineyards.

LANGHE CHARDONNAY d.o.c. “SARSO”

This wine is made from the vinification of the Chardonnay grapes that are taken from the company’s very own vineyards.

Color: straw-yellow
Perfume: Very fruity (particularly evident are the dry fruit aromas)
Taste: Moderately acidic, fine and harmonic.
Serve With:Particulary recommended as an aperitif or with fish dishes.
Serving Temperature: 8-10° C.

LANGHE CHARDONNAY d.o.c. “SARSO”

BAROLO d.o.c.g. “PERNANNO” RISERVA

The “Pernanno” is made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes selected for Barolo wine and is aged in twenty hectolitre oak barrels for two years before refined for a further year in bottles.

Color: A vivid ruby red with hints of garnet
Perfume: Red fruit, ripe plums and wet earth sensation.
Taste: Once in the mouth one can detect the power and harmony that only fine tannins produce.

BAROLO d.o.c.g. “PERNANNO” RISERVA

BAROLO d.o.c.g.

Widely considered the Piemontese wine par excellence, this wine is produced exclusively from the grapes of the Nebbiolo vine, specially the sub varieties “Michet” and “Lampia”, and is produced entirely from company’s very own vineyard. The care taken in producing the wine is evident as early as the vineyard stage where great care is taken to ensure that maximum return on each hectare of land does not exceed 65 quintals, even though the production regulations stipulate that 80 quintals is allowed. This wine undergoes an ageing process that lasts at least three years, at least two years of which are spent in oak barrels.

Color: A brilliant garnet red with orange highlights that become more pronounced with age.
Perfume :Ethereal, pleasant and intense
Taste: Dry, full, robust, austere, yet velvety and aromatic.
Serve With: It is particularlygood with the Barolo “brasato”, game, roast and truffle dishes. In order to fully appreciate all the complex characteristics of this wine, we recommend you uncork the bottle several hours prior to consuming.
